JAMES CAMERON WRIGHT
Jim was born August 29, 1937, in Los Angeles, CA, to Jean and Cameron Wright. He passed away December 25, 2012, after complications of surgery, following a valiant 5 year struggle with cancer. Jim was a contractor in the Hemet area for 52 years. He and his sons built many beautiful custom homes, businesses, and churches. He was a master builder first, but family and friends also knew him as a master gardener. He used the same precision and skill to level, plumb line, and space his fruit trees and garden plants with raised box beds and trellis, as he did with his finely crafted buildings. Jim was an outdoors-man. He loved the mountains - hunting and jeeping in his younger years, and fishing throughout his later years. He was a collector of fine cars and boats at times in his life. Jim was known as a barbeque expert, a good cook, and jam/preserves maker. Jim is preceded in death by his parents; his son, Jim Jr.; and many good friends. He is survived by his sons; Bob (Julie) and Todd; his sons' mother, Marty Buoye; his companion of 20 years, Stephanie Etchart; and 6 grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at a favorite of his building projects - The McWane Family Funeral Home, 350 N. San Jacinto Ave, Hemet, CA 92543, on Friday, January 4, 2013, at 10:30 AM. Graveside Services will follow at San Jacinto Valley Cemetery, 2555 S. Santa Fe St, San Jacinto, CA 92583. Jim touched many lives and will be truly missed by all those that were honored to know him and who loved him. Published in Press-Enterprise on January 1, 2013.
