Donna Jean Zindel (maiden name Eoff), 59, died at Alaska Regional Hospital after an accident on Dec. 18. Donna was born to Harry (Russel to friends) and Jean Eoff on April 7, 1953 in Spokane, Wash. Donna celebrated her second birthday on the Alcan Highway during the Eoffs' move to Alaska. She grew up in Anchorage and later moved to Kenai where she was a homemaker. Her final days were spent surrounded by her family: husband of 31 years, Robin Zindel; brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Nancy Eoff; sons Jacob and Zachary Zindel; son-in-law and daughter James and Miranda Strong; grandson JJ Strong; and childhood friend Debbie Hansen at her brother's cabin in Caribou Hills. Donna exemplified generosity: She was known for pulling candy and gifts out of her purse for any and no occasion. Donna loved her family and friends deeply. She is greatly loved and missed. A viewing will be held at 10 a.m. and a memorial at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 22 at Kehl's Legacy Funeral Home. A reception will follow the memorial at Embassy Suites Imagine Ballroom 600 E Benson Blvd.
