Don was born September 13, 1918 to Paul and Ruth Curry in Vallejo, California.

He and his seven siblings were raised on a farm in Arcadia, Utah. Don joined the U.S. Army in 1945. He served faithfully in the Phillipines throughout World War II. He was honorably discharged in 1945. He then married Otha Jewell in 1950. He helped raise Otha's two sons, Gordon and Dennis Teuscher. He worked at Hill Air Force Base until his retirement. Otha passed away in 1986. Together, they had 10 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and 19 great-great-grandchildren. Don married Viola Bertoch in 1988 in Hawaii. Their 20 year marriage was peaceful and happy. Don became a beloved member of Viola's family, including her in his loving relationship with his family with Otha. He was a loving grandpa to Viola's six grandchildren, 16 great-grand-children and nine great-great-grandchildren. He passed away at home with Viola Jan. 30, 2008, of Heart Failure.

Don was a gentleman of high integrity; respected and loved by family and friends. He was a caring husband, loving and just father, tender and playful grandpa and thoughtful brother. Little children delighted him and he had a special tolerant way with teenagers. His passing truly saddens us. We will miss his kindness and strength. We look forward to seeing him again in Heaven.

Don is survived by his multitude of grandchildren, his wife Viola, step-children and spouses Dennis Teuscher, Gordon and Betty Teuscher, ReNee and Ken Failor, Steve and Debby Bertoch, and Linda Bertoch-Anderson. Also survived by his brothers and sisters Harry, Jim, Wade, Barbara, and Mary. He was preceded in death by his wife Otha, and his brothers Emery and Keith.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, February 2, 2008 at Redwood Memorial Estates Mortuary. A Viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. with the Funeral Services at 11:00 a.m.
