Shawn Edward "Sweetchuck" Baker, 33, DuBois, died Monday, Dec. 24, 2012, at DuBois Regional Medical Center after a lengthy illness.
Born Jan. 12, 1979, in Washington, he was a son of Judy Conklin Miceli of DuBois. She survives.
Shawn spent most of his life in DuBois. He was a graduate of Jeff Tech and was employed by Brookville Wood Products.
He served in the Army National Guard of Punxsutawney and the Marine Corps. He was a member of the DuBois Area Honor Guard.
Shawn loved working on computers, camping and being outdoors.
He is also survived by his stepfather, David Miceli of DuBois; grandfather, Guy Edward Conklin of Georgetown; and girlfriend, Allie Wonderly of DuBois; as well as several aunts and uncles and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Tina Marie Bauduin; and his maternal grandmother, Shirley Conklin.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday and from 10-11 a.m. Saturday at the Leo Nedza Funeral Home in DuBois. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Military services will be accorded by the DuBois Area Honor Guard. Burial will be in Valier Cemetery.
