Marilyn A. Bittick, age 78, of Wautoma, passed away Tuesday morning, May 27, 2008 at Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh.
She was born March 24, 1930 in Milwaukee, the daughter of Howard A. and Ann L. (Gadicke) Johnson. She married Gaylon E. Bittick on June 21, 1997 at Peace Lutheran Church in Wautoma. He preceded her in death on March 30, 2004.
Mrs. Bittick was employed for many years by the Milwaukee Railroad which later became the Soo Line Railroad.
Marilyn was a faithful member of Peace Lutheran Church, Wautoma and its Ladies Aid. Mrs. Bittick was an active member with the Wautoma/Waushara Senior Center, American Legion Auxiliary, Wautoma AARP, TOPS 1268 of Wautoma and she volunteered numerous hours at Berlin Memorial Hospital.
She is survived by her two children, Lisa (Shukri[o Tawfiq) Kling, CT., Howard Kling, MN.; her stepsons, Glenn Bittick, Ripon and James (Michelle) Bittick, TX; five stepgrandchildren; special friends, Avonelle
Anderson and Erma Wedde; further survived by other relatives and many dear friends.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 30, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church, Wautoma. Burial will be in the Wautoma Union Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the Leikness Funeral Home, Wautoma and from 10:00 a.m. Friday until the time of services at the church. A prayer service will be held at 7:45 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials to Waushara/Wautoma Senior Center and Peace Lutheran Church would be appreciated.".
