**A loving cousin who passed away in time this year to spend Christmas in Heaven with Jesus and other family members. Her sister, Emma Brown, who lives in St. Ignace, Michigan, is now the only living member of her generation.**

Florence Kathryn Baker (Kailing), age 85, of Grandville, Michigan, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, December 23, 2012. Florence was a loyal and devoted mother and grandmother who cherished her family. Many laughs were had together because of her gift of humor. Her upbringing on a farm instilled a strong work ethic and she loved to bake and spent many hours canning. Florence retired from Michigan Bell (AT&T) after many years of dedicated employment. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert in 1995; three brothers; and three sisters. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Ann and Tom Maddox, Mark and Shirley Baker, Pat and Ed Matecki, Susan and Tim Hall, Bill and Deb Baker, Richard and Mary Baker, Tim Baker, Joan Baker; 23 grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; sister, Emma Brown; special friend, Marilyn Walker; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday 11:00 am at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 3937 Wilson Avenue SW, Grandville with Fr. Chris Rouech and Fr. Dan DePew, a cousin, as celebrants. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm with a prayer vigil at 8:30 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville), 4145 Chicago Drive.
