Bertha Coghill, the former Bertha Schwiess was born Aug. 10, 1894, in Davenport, Iowa, the daughter of Charles "Carl" Henry(1863-1920) and Christina Margaret Moltzen (1870-1957) Schweiss. She moved at an early age to Rock Island, IL where she was reared and received her education. She moved to East Moline, IL from Rock Island, IL in 1951.
Bertha married John Edwin Lindholme (Born March 1, 1894) on March 18, 1916 in Rock Island, IL. He died July 22, 1945 in Las Vegas, Nevada. They had three children; Roy Edwin "Cully" Lindholme, Doris Harriet Lindholme Fisher, and Eleanor Ruth Lindholme Henry. On Nov. 15, 1947, she married Frank Coghill in Rock Island, IL.
Bertha was a member of Rock Island Chapter Women's Benefit Assn. and of the Davenport Osteopathic Hospital Guild.
Surviving are the widower, Frank Coghill; two daughters, Doris Fisher and Eleanor Henry; one son Roy "Cully" Lindholme; a step-daughter, Mrs. Robert P. Johnson, Rock Island; seven grandchildren; two sisters Mrs. Joseph Campbell, La Mesa, California, and Mrs. George Steele, Brainerd, Minnesota and four brothers, Edward and Francis, both of Rock Island, Carl of Alpine, California and William, Fullerton, California.
She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, a brother and a sister.

The day of Bertha's funeral, her daughter Eleanor Henry was in the hospital giving birth to her son Leonard "Tony" Henry II. A snow plow lead the funeral possession to the cemetery. Bertha's grandson Leonard "Tony" Henry II is buried beside her.
