Mrs. Benjamin H. Snyder

Mrs. Annie E. Snyder, RD5, South Middleton Township, wife of Benjamin H. Snyder, died on Saturday evening at Carlisle Hospital. She was 76 years old.

Mrs. Snyder was born on Oct. 10, 1891, at Blain, a daughter of the late John D. and Adeline Robinson Gutshall. She was a member of the Brethren in Christ Church, Carlisle, and the Bible Class of the Sunday School.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by five sons, Charles L., Sylvester R., Richard B. and Edward L., all of RD5, and Ray G., Ocean City, N.J.; nine daughters, Mrs. Grace Deitch, Mrs. Mabel Blosser, Mrs. Rose Bitner, Mrs. Betty Shuler, Mrs. Annabelle Wetzel and Mrs. Shirley Kauffman, all of RD5; Mrs. Marian Calaman, RD1; Mrs. Jean Mixell, Carlisle, and Mrs. Vivian Jones, St. Petersburg, Fla.; two sisters Mrs. Edward Foster, Bloserville, and Mrs. Casper Kingsborough, Hershey; five brothers, Clarence Gutshall, William Gutshall and Miles Gutshall, all of Blain, and Edward Gutshall, Hershey (NOTE: only four brothers are listed), 29 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the G. Book Roth Funeral Home, Walnut Bottom Road at Belevedere (sic) Street. The Rev. Walter Winger, her pastor will officiate. Burial will be in Westminster Cemetery. Friends may call tomorrow evening at the funeral home.
