He is survived by his wife Melissa Brinker Jones, his children W Wise S Jones, Jr and his wife Sharon, K. Wesley M. Jones and his wife Ruth Mary, and Minta Jones Ford and her husband Price as well as his grandchildren Christie, Wesley, Russell, Sophie, Rebecca, Price, Emily and Audrey.
Mr. Jones was the founder and owner of the Swepston Jones Companies.
He grew up in Crawfordsville, Arkansas and went to undergraduate school at the University of Mississippi and the University of Arkansas. He obtained his Juris Doctor at the University of Arkansas. He pursued an advanced business degree at Northwestern University in Chicago. An active civic volunteer, Mr. Jones was Past Chairman of Carnival Memphis and of the Grand Krewe of Memphi.
Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. Friday, December 21st in the Parish Hall of St. John's Episcopal Church. Memorial services will follow at 2 p.m. in the sanctuary of St. John's.
