John L. Askren
Fairmount—John L. Askren, 65, a Grant county native, died Tuesday at the Indiana Masonic Home, Franklin, where he had lived for the past four years. He had spent most of his life near Fairmont and was a member of the Masonic Lodge and 0ES of Fairmount.
He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Dale Metzger, and a grandson, both of Fairmount; four stepsons, Guy Keller, Muncie, Harold Keller, Anderson, Oren Keller, Dublin, and Eslie Keller, Fairmount, two stepdaughters, Mrs. Ruth Retherford, Elwood, and Mrs. Agnes Pace, Fairmount.
Friends may call at Hunt Funeral Home after 10 AM Thursday. Services will be there at 2 PM Friday with Reverend Stacy Wesner officiating. Burial will be in Park Cemetery. Masonic rites will be said at the funeral home at 8 PM Thursday.
