DEATHS
JAMES C. WHEELER
Funeral services for James Calvin
Wheeler, 60 years old of 7 Halsted
Circle, who passed away Wednesday,
will be conducted at 2:30 o’clock
Saturday afternoon at the chapel of
Turner, Stevens & Turner. Interment
will be in Rose Hill Mausoleum,
Whittier.
The Rev. D. Edward Wright, pastor
of Grace Lutheran Evangelical
Church of Alhambra, will officiate.
Paul bearers will be George Hartzig,
W. J. Walmsley, W. P. Kimmel, Edward
W. Gasser and Louis Zellermayer,
fellow workers with Mr. Wheeler
at the Alhambra Unemployment
Relief Center, and O. O. Collins,
Los Angeles Attorney.
Forrest V. Routt will be soloist.
Wheeler was very active in work
of the local relief center and spent
long hours at the center where his
services were highly valuable
because of his past business
experience. Members of his family
denied that Wheeler’s last illness
was partially due to his long hours
at the relief work as was at first
feared by his friends.
