Mr. William H. (Bill) Adams, Sr., age 75 of Griffin, passed away on Sunday, December 9, 2012 at his residence.

Mr. Adams was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on July 15, 1937. He is preceded in death by his parents, James Adams and Manila Potter Adams. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Leslie Dee Adams and a son, Henry Lee (Butch) Adams. He was the owner/operator of Bear Paw Army/Navy Store for 23 years. He was a member of the Jonesboro Masonic Lodge #87 where he was a 32nd Degree Mason, American Legion, VFW, South Fulton Shrine Club, the Eastern Star, Ringold Lodge # 90 FAM. Mr. Adams was a veteran of the United States Air Force and the Navy having served in Korea and Vietnam. He was also a member of New Salem Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Johnnie Adams; sons, William H. Adams, Jr. and his wife, Vickie, Brian Adams and his wife Jennifer, Christopher Adams and his wife, April, Jimmy W. Adams; daughter-in-law, Judy Adams; step-daughters, Regina Sealy and her husband, Barry, Lynn Chapman and her husband, Keith; sister, Gloria Hoppe and husband, Al; brother, John Adams and his wife, Simone; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren.
