Mrs. Hannah Blanche Courier (1871-1937), a former resident of this city, died last night at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Emery Grow, Jacksonville, from the effects of a broken hip sustained in a fall December 23rd.
A native of Corpus Christi, Texas, Mrs. Courier moved to Palatka 50 years ago and resided here until 1907, when her husband, Joseph Smith Courier, died. She then removed to Port Tampa, where she resided until going to Jacksonville in 1935.
Besides the daughter, Mrs. Grow, two sons, John Courier, Sanford, and Joe Courier, Baldwin; a sister, Mrs. W. C. Colwell, Port Tampa, and two brothers, Edward Windisch, Ft. Pierce, and Henry Windisch, Lakeland. (Palatka Daily News Obituary dtd Tuesday, 12 Jan 1937.)
