GARFIELD - Funeral services for Mrs. Nettie Imlay Thompson, 54, will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. in Garfield. Mrs. Thompson died Tuesday morning in a Salt Lake hospital of a stroke. Mrs. Thompson, a resident of 60 East Sixteenth Ave., had lived in Garfield for about the past eight years.
She was born in Panguitch Feb. 24, 1898, a daughter of Thomas and Orilla Henrie Imlay. On May 27, 1914 she was married to Oscar Z. Thompson in Panguitch. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had been a Relief Society member for three years.
Her husband survives her, as do three sons, Vermont Thompson, Lapoint, Uintah County; Henry Garn Thompson, at a U.S. Army point of embarkation in Washington and Elrod Thompson, Garfield; four daughters, Althea Orton, Delta, Millard County; Mrs. Nettie Hansen, Salt Lake City; Fay and Isabell Thompson, both of Garfield; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; three half-brothers Leon Imlay and Otto Robinson, both of Salt Lake City and George Robinson, Kellogg, Ida., and four half-sisters, Mrs. Mary Smith, Lyndyll, Millard County; Mrs. Marguretta Nessman and Mrs. Audrey Tew both of Salt Lake City and Mrs. Myrtle Farnsworth, Ely, Nev.
