My Great Grandmother, Julia Amanda Lowe Dorman was Cherokee. She was the daughter of Amanda Caroline "Cole" Huitt Lowe, and William Charles Lowe. She was also Catawba from William Charles Lowe in his Gardner line, and Miami Indian in his Bartlett line. She married Benjamin Franklin Dorman and together they had 12 children. She spent her last years at the home of her daughter Virgie in Oklahoma.
