He was born May 5, 1944, in Olsburg to Edward and Tillie (Bonin) Blaske. He was a 1962 graduate of Salina High.
He married Margie Wessel on May 22, 1965, in Selden. He was a founder and co-owner of Systems 4 Mechanical Contractors established in 1982, a member of Salina Rotary since 1979, a percussionist for Kingsman Band and had leadership roles in various HVAC and plumbing professional organizations.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Margie (Wessel) Blaske; two sons, Greg Blaske and wife, Linda, Bettendorf, Iowa, and Kevin Blaske, Stillwater, Okla.; a daughter, Tammy Parkhurst and husband, Rich, Wichita; two sisters, Phyllis Powell and Carla Knight and husband, Skip, all of Salina; and five grandchildren, Nathan, Colin, Hannah, Ben and Alex.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Veryl; and a sister, Donna Fritzson.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Salina; burial in All Saints Catholic Cemetery, Salina.
Friends can visit until 8 p.m. Wednesday at Ryan Mortuary, Salina.
A vigil will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the mortuary.
Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children's Hospitals, March of Dimes or St. Elizabeth Parish in care of the mortuary.
