He served in World War II with the US ARMY 198th coast artillery and served overseas on Bobcat Island.
He was a life member of the Association of Retired State Police Officers, a 50 year life member of the Five Points Fire Company, a life member of VFW Post #2863 where he had served as Post Commander and Quarter Master.
He served as Past VFW State Commander and Past VFW National Council Member.
He was a life member of the VFW National Home and life member of Post #5 American Legion, Rehoboth Beach.
