DEATH: Larry Roger Collins was killed in on October 19, 1986 in an Auto Accident at the intercestion of 600 East and 100 north, Grant County, Indiana. A Grant County Deputy Sheriff (Myers) ran a stop sign and T-bone the car larry was a passenger in killing him and his brother-in-law James Marshall who was driving. Larry was married with an 1 year old daugther and his wife was about 5 months pregnaut with a second daugther.
BIOGRAPHY: Larry was raised by his parents Bennie and Alice Collins in the town of Fairmount, Indiana. He went to Madison-Grant High School where he graduated in 1979. He played football for the Argylls his senior year. He worked odd jobs and was in the US Navy until he was medically discharged for a back injury he sufferd during basic trainning. He married Mary Marshall on December 30, 1983, at Jones Chapel Church, in Grant County, Indiana. Mary and Larry had two daughters; Jennifer and Natasha.
BURIAL: The funeral service was done at Story Funeral Home in Gas City, Indiana. It was a double service for both Larry and James Marshall. Larry was laid to rest in the Matthews Cem. in Matthews Indiana beside his brother-in-law James Marshall. He has a cool tombstone as it has a motorcycle on it the cemetery sits near the Mississinewa river and you can see the covered bridge from the cemetery.
