Maggie E. Warren was one of eleven children born to John Thomas Warren and Sarah E. Edge Warren.

The children were: Allie C., Mary Lula, Maggie E., Joel (Joe) Rufus, Hugh E., Sarah E.(Sadie), Mattye V., Jennie E., Roxy M., Eula M., and Elbert T. Warren.

She married William Sharp Steward December 24, 1903 in Cherokee County, Alabama.

They had the following children: Thomas Lee, Mary Ellen, Jewell S. and Calvin Jones Stewart.

MRS. MAGGIE STEWART

PIEDMONT -- Mrs. Maggie Warren Stewart, 86, of Piedmont, Rt.3, a lifelong resident of Piedmont and a member of Shady Grove Cumberland Presbyterian Church, died Thursday at her residence after a long illness.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Shady Grove Cumberland Presbyterian Church with the Rev. D.K. Richardson and the Rev. Boyd Bonee officiating. Burial will be in Goshen Cemetery with Mickelsen Brown-Service Mortuary in charge.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Jewell Kelly; a son, Calvin Jones Stewart; two sister, Mrs. Mattie Early and Mrs. Roxie Wolfe; two brothers, Hugh Warren and Elbert Warren, all of Piedmont; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be nephews.

The body will remain at the mortuary until one hour prior to services.
