2nd married Mary Martha Gaither in 1861
3rd married Sarah Ann Gales in 1876.

Walker Adkisson, one of the best known old settlers of Montgomery County, passed away at his home North of Fillmore, on Tuesday afternoon of the week, aged 82 years, 6 months and 25 days.

The deceased was born February 20th, 1826 near Nashville, Tenn. and came to this county with his parents when he was but four years of age. The family settled south of Hillsboro where Walter grew to manhood and he has resided in this county almost continuously since his arrival here.

The deceased was thrice married, his first wife's name being Suits; his second wife was Martha Gather and his third wife who survives him was Sarah Morgan. He was the father of five boys and three girls, two of his sons and his three daughters survive. They are Luella Anderson of near Bingham; Mrs. Lizzie Barber, of Ramsey and Mrs. Mattie Koontz of Fillmore, H. N. Adkisson of Fillmore and S. W. Adkisson of Omaha, Neb.

The funeral of the deceased was held Thursday morning at 11 o'clock from the Fillmore Baptist Church of which he was a member. Rev. Nelson conducted the funeral services being assisted by Rev. Lauis Isbell. The remains were laid to rest in Fillmore Cemetery.
