EUBANKS, William W. Company E, 13th Alabama Infantry Regiment. Enlisted 6 Sep1861 in Eastville, Alabama by Captain Robison; was hospitalized Camp Winder Hospital, Richmond, Va. 7 May 1862 for Rubeola and returned to duty 16 May 1862; again on 20 Aug 1862 at Danville, Virginia with Fever and returned to duty 16 Oct 182. Missing at the Battle of Gettysburg. Captured 14 Jul 1863 at Falling Waters, Maryland; on Roll of Prisoners of War at Old Capitol Prison, Washington DC 1 Aug 1863; sent to Point Lookout, Maryland on 8 Aug 1863, and transferred to Hammond Hospital, Point lookout, MD. Admitted: 2 Nov 1863. Died 13 Nov 1863 of Chronic Diarrhea. His widow, Sarah L. Eubanks, filed a claims with the Confederate Government on 31 Oct 1864.
