Mr. Lewis died at his home Wednesday night at 9 o'clock. A resident of the county for seven years, Mr. Lewis had engaged in farming. During his residence here, he had made many friends, all of whom, loved him for his qualities of friendship and sincerity.

Josiah Robert Lewis was born August 13, 1869 at Batesville, Ark., and at the time of his death, he was sixty-eight years, four months, and nine days of age. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene.

Surviving him are his widow, Mrs. Lula Bell Lewis, and children: Mrs. Myrtle Collins of Trenton, Texas; E. B. Lewis of Sherman; Mrs. Beatrice Price of Caddo, Okla.; Mrs. Thelma Boatman of Abilene; Fred Lewis of Seminole, Okla.; Mrs. Tessie Pritchard of Wellington; Mrs. Josephine Wood of Durant; G. D. Lewis, of Denver Colo.; Miss Ada Pearl Lewis of Wellington, Bluford Dale Lewis of Wellington, and LaRuth Lewis of Wellington.

Three children preceded him in death.
