Arthur J. Eisenman

Arthur J. Eisenman, 70 of 409 North St., retired employee of the Chicago Pneumatic Tool Company of Franklin and a World War I veteran, died unexpectedly at 6 pm. Monday at his residence.

He was born at Fryburg, September 30, 1897, a son of Irvin and Margaret Hartle Eisenman. Mr. Eisenman retired five years ago from CPT, where he has worked as a machinist and time-setter.

He was a member of St. Stephen church and the Ushers Society of the church. He also was a member the BPOE of Oil City, a past commander of American Legion Post 32 and a member of the Veterans of the Foreign Wars. H saw action in France in WWI and participated in the Battle of the Argonne Forest.

He and the former Rose Bernhardt were married August 22, 1920. She survives along with four daughters, Mrs. William (Arlene)English of Oil City, Mrs. Felix(Norma) Folletti of East Springfield, Mrs Jerome(Mary) Beightol of Danville Indiana., and Mrs Glenn(Barbara)Pries of Muskego, Wisconsin; a brother, Thomas Eisenman of Clearfield; two sisters, Mrs Margaret Bresnan and Mrs. Robert McCarthy of Oil City, and 19 grandchildren.

Removal was made to the Charles A. Morrison Funeral Home where friends may call after 7 pm today. Funeral arrangements will be announced.
