All friends and acquaintences to know: HE called away
to Eternity the deceased Charlotte Katharina Agena, neé Alting. The deceased
was born on 14th January , 1824 in Walle near Aurich, Ostfr.[iesland], and
died on 5th January 1914 near Sterling, Nebr., so reaching the blessed age of
89 years, 11 months and 21 days. Her husband preceeded her in death by 15
years. Her marriage was blessed with nine children, which, however, died in
their youth except one daughter. On January eighth she was buried on the
Lutheran cemetry two miles west of Sterling under attendance of many. Pastor
A. Firnhuber held the funeral sermon about 1. John. 2,25. Her decease is
mourned about by her daughter Gesche Agena, a sister in Franklin Co., Nebr., a
brother in Germany, 7 grandchildren and 27 great - grand - children. It was
her wish to go home and to be in Christ. I´ll say farewell to such false
world, your sinfull wicked life is not to my delight. In heaven is good
living; this is what I do want, there GOD will reward those who served him
here. This is to advertizment on request and on behalf of those remaining.
