Arthur L. Himmel, 71, vice president of a South Side fur company, died at his Near North Side home Saturday.
Mr. Himmel was vice president of Himmel Furs, 2201 W. 95th, and president of Associated Fur Industries of Chicago, a group that represents 80 of the city's oldest furriers.
He also was a docent for the fur exhibit at the Chicago Historical Society.
Mr. Himmel was active in the Kiwanis International Key Club and was past vice president of Temple Anshe Sholom in Olympia Fields.
Surviors include his wife, Maggie; three sons, Larry, Gerry and Tod; a daughter, Dana Jacobs; two brothers, Marvin and Charles, and a grandchild.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. tomorrow at Piser Weinstein Menorah Chapel, 5206 N. Broadway. Burial will be at Beverly Cemetery, Blue Island.
