PANHANDLE, Texas, Oct. 30 - Reburial services will be held here Wednesday for Lt. Melvin Delos Cleek, pilot of a Marauder bomber of the Ninth Air Force, who was killed Jan. 14, 1945, while on a mission during the Battle of the Bulge.

Cleek was a brother of H.E. Cleek of Dallas.

He volunteered for aviation training when he was seventeen, and began training at West Texas State College at Canyon. Cleek received his pilot's wings at Blackland Army Airfield at Waco. His awards include the Air Medal and Purple Heart, given posthumously. His mother, Mrs. Opal Cleek, lives in Panhandle.
