1-6-10 From Steven Schmoldt:
The post card was not sent home by Charles during the war-- it was actually one of three post cards given to Steven Schmoldt, or one of three given to Rita Richardson, by the Mayor of Crouy, Bernard Pitois, when they traveled there in February of '08, when Nashville and crouy were officially designated International Friendship Cities, through the efforts of Sister Cities of Nashville. The photo of his memorial in Crouy was also taken at that time.
The post card was made in Crouy in 1994 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of that town from the Nazis two weeks after Capt. Peal died
