Norma Louise Salveson was born to
Gust E. and Rena (Budzynski) Grey on
Jan. 6, 1910. She grew up on a farm with
her parents southwest of Marathon.
Norma attended Lincoln Lee County
Consolidated School from grade school
through high school graduation. After
high school she decided she would attend
Buena Vista College in Storm Lake,
where she earned a bachelor of arts
degree.

She was baptized in the United
Methodist Church in Marathon in August
of 1922. She was a long-time member of
the Methodist church. She later joined the-
United Methodist Church in Storm Lake.
On Aug. 14, 1934 Norma L. Grey
and Ernest R. Salveson were united in
marriage in the Lutheran church in Sioux
Rapids.

Norma's profession was teaching
school. She taught in California at the San
Diego and Santa Maria Schools. She also
taught in Laurens. She retired from teaching
in 1970. After her retirement she took up
the pastimes of sewing and reading.

She was preceded in death
by her parents and husband.

She is survived by her two sisters,.
Helen. Mark of Iowa Falls and June Keyes
of Albert City, and many other relatives
and friends.
